Protecting children in South Sudan was the topic of the second episode of a series of radio talk shows on protection and human rights considerations during COVID-19 response. Stigma and discrimination related to COVID-19 may make children more vulnerable to violence and psychosocial distress. The numbers of unaccompanied and separated children may also increase, and alternative arrangements for psychosocial, educational, and family support may be needed. Disruption of livelihood and closure of schools may place children at risk of child recruitment and of negative coping mechanisms. The talk show had the participation of Mohamed Ayoya, UNICEF Representative, Rama Hansraj, Country Direction Save the Children, Elizabeth Otieno, Deputy Director CINA NGO, and two IDP children from Mangateen site in Juba.
